Hello Jen! what a wonderful surprise - this site surely is paying off dividends!

I have emailed you re contacting you. Have a read of the 7 part series 'He only ever went to sea' - it tells the story of the life of our Great Great Grandfather Augustus James H. Courbarron.

Hope you enjoy it!

Hi Wendy,

I'm sure you have distant cousins coming out of the woodwork... here's another one . My great grandparents are also Patrick and Mildred Hopkins. My older relatives don't seem to know anything about my grandfather James' siblings. My aunt (the eldest on that side of the family) recalls an ?Aunt Marg but that's all. James had 3 children which would have been your mother's cousins. I've been told that a rift occurred as the Hopkins family were staunch catholics and he married a Church of England girl, but who knows? Anyway, would love to know a little more if possible. I've really enjoyed reading your site - you have greatly embellished - and confirmed - most of my notes. Thank you so much! Jen.
