Reynolds - Charles Wagner(Wegener) and Sarah Willis
Thanks to this site I have found yet another cousin! and this time it is from my Dad’s side though his mother Bernice. Thanks to James Thorn of Sydney I can now add some data and this is regarding the family of my Grandmother Bernice Reynolds (Reid) and her siblings. Also James has very kindly sent me photographs of Sarah and a group photo of her children (below), with my Grandmother Bernice sitting front at the right. This is my first ever viewing of my grandmother and I wish to thank James Thorn for sharing this with me. Jame’s grandmother, Blanche, is seated second from right.
Parents: Charles Wagner (Wegener) Reynolds and Sara Sophia Willis.

* Charles Joseph, born 19/11/1885, Cobar -(married Lucy Marie Holman) - died Sydney 1944
* Alma, born 13/7/1888, Parkes
* Arthur Alfred, born 28/12/1890, Parkes &
* Walter Ernest, born 28/12/1890, Parkes (twins - died in infancy)

My sister has given you my email address which I note is now viewable, not to worry.
I have only recently started doing the family history and like you had little information about dad’s side. I had got as far as proving Sarah Willis and Charles Wagner Reynolds were dad’s grandparents. The information on your site is of great help especially the entry of today re Charles and Sarah’s family. Any other info you can give re this part of family would be appreciated. I am also happy if you give my details to James who is presumably also my cousin. Neither Carol or me know him. Dad had little to do with his family for years.
I can only give you info re Charles Joseph Reynolds son of Charles Wagner Reynolds and Sarah Willis and don’t know if you want this but here we go.
Charles Joseph Reynolds born 19th November 1885 at Cobar his father Charles Wagner Reynolds 36, printer, mother Sarah Willis 27 they had 3 females living and 1 male deceased at that stage. Charles Joseph married Lucy Marie Holman in Sydney 1st July 1907. They later divorced. Charles Joseph Reynolds (snr) died 1st June 1944 at Sydney, Lucy Marie Hill (she remarried) died 17th September 1967 in Sydney. They had 2 children Dorothy and Charles Joseph Reynolds (my father who was born 29.7.1918-he does not appear to be registered). My father married Anne Matthews 16th September 1939 they had 2 daughters Carol and Sandra born 18.5.1952 (I’ll leave it to Carol as to her date of birth). Anne Reynolds died 19th August 1973. Charles Joseph Reynolds (Jnr)later married Norma Fairfax Wells. Norma died 5th August 2001 Charles died 10th October 2001.

Hi Sandra, as you can see you are descended from Charles, me from Bernice and James from Blanche so that verifies us all as rather close cousins. Such a coincidence that you and James contacted me at the same time! well, thats how it goes with genealogy. He lives in Sydney so maybe you could organise a meeting and share info…?
I shall draft an email detailing what I know from Dads mum’s side and send it off to you.
