Reynolds

My paternal Grandmother, Bernice Isabel Reynolds, was born at Brown Street Forbes, NSW, on the 5th February 1877. Pictured, left, is the Govt. Lands Office in Forbes.

Her father was Charles Wagner Reynolds. He was a Printer by trade and was 28 years old at the time of his daughter’s birth. Her mother was Sarah Sophia Willis, aged 18. The couple were married on the 10th July 1876 at Parkes, NSW. Sarah was pregnant at the time of the marriage.

Charles Wagner Reynolds was born 1848 in London, England to parents Charles W Reynolds and Eliza. Sarah was born in 1858/9 at Clunes in Victoria to parents Joseph and Maria Davidson. Charles died at Parkes in 1892.

Bernice married George Albert Reid in 1901 and died at Goodna, QLD, in 1954.

    Hi Wendy,

Just discovered your site after a random google search for Charles Wagner Reynolds. I am a grandson of Blance Reynolds, sister of Isabel Reynolds(or as my dad refered to her, aunty Izzy) I have been on the trail of the Reynolds and Willises for last 20 years! There are quite a few mysteries, believe me.

    Hi and ‘oh wow’!!
thanks so much for contacting me! I would love to know anything at all regarding the family as I have so little family info from Dad’s side. Please detail who Isabel was as it was my grandmother’s middle name.
